These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in training classes, courses, and programs offered by Johnston K9. By enrolling in our training services, you agree to adhere to and be bound by these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully.

1. Registration and Enrolment

1.1 Eligibility: Our training services are available to individuals who are at least 18 years old. For enrolment of individuals under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be the primary contact and take responsibility for the student's participation.

1.2 Enrolment: To enrol in our training classes, courses, or programs, you must complete the registration process, including providing accurate and up-to-date information. By enrolling, you acknowledge that you meet the eligibility requirements and that all information provided is accurate.

1.3 Payment: The fees for our training services are as stated at the time of registration. You agree to pay all fees associated with your enrolment, including registration fees and course fees. Payment is typically non-refundable, but in some cases, we may apply your payment to a future class at our discretion.

2. Class Attendance Policy

2.1 Regular Attendance: We encourage consistent attendance in our classes. Regular attendance is essential for the success of your dog's training and the overall effectiveness of our classes.

2.2 Commitment to Regular Attendance: If you anticipate that you won't be able to attend the majority of the classes, we encourage you to consider joining a later course when your schedule allows for greater participation. Frequent absences can impact your progress and the overall dynamics of the class.

2.3 Late Arrivals: Arriving on time is crucial to maintain a smooth learning experience for all participants. If you anticipate being late, please inform us in advance. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late to a class, it may not be possible to join the session, as it could disrupt the flow of the class.

2.4 Course Fees and Cancellation Policy: Please note that course fees, including deposits and registration fees, are typically non-refundable. However, in some cases, we may apply your payment to a future class at your convenience and at our discretion.

3. Dog Health and Safety

3.1 Health Considerations Injured Dogs and Dogs in Season

For the safety and well-being of all participants and dogs, we kindly request that you do not bring dogs to class if they are injured, currently in season (oestrus), or are suffering from common dog illnesses.

Injured dogs may require specific medical attention and rest, bringing a dog in season can lead to unpredictable behaviour, and dogs with contagious illnesses may disrupt the class environment and put other dogs at risk.

Common Canine Illnesses & Injuries

Kennel Cough: Kennel Cough, a highly contagious respiratory infection, can easily spread among dogs in close proximity. If your dog is diagnosed with Kennel Cough or is showing symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge, please refrain from attending class until your dog has fully recovered.

Canine Conjunctivitis: Canine Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is an eye infection that can be transmitted to other dogs. If your dog is experiencing symptoms such as red, irritated eyes, eye discharge, or excessive blinking, please keep your dog at home until they have received appropriate veterinary care and are no longer contagious.

Cut Paws: Dogs with cut paws or injuries to their paws may be in discomfort or pain, and exposing them to the class environment can worsen their condition. We recommend that you seek prompt veterinary care for any paw injuries, and once your dog is healed, they can return to class when it is safe for them.

Your Commitment: By enrolling in our training classes, courses, or programs, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to this health and safety policy.

Your commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants and dogs is greatly appreciated. We value the health and well-being of every dog in our classes and appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding your dog's health, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian and notifying us as needed to ensure the safety of all participants. Your dog's health and safety are of paramount importance to us.
